Suitcase
Suitcase is a three-year project, carried out in partnership with a consortium of companies, aimed at developing innovative services for the welfare of citizens in their own home, with a focus on older adults.
The project's objective is to improve the conditions needed for people to live safely and independently in their own homes for as long as possible.
The project will involve a group of volunteers interested in participating in the development and testing of the services at their home. Despite the experimental nature of the services (which will be provided for free), they will give added value to the people from the beginning. A service center will be available 24 hours a day, either through the phone or through video communication systems. In addition to providing assistance in case of emergency (activation of medical personnel, firemen), the service center will enable transport services, or small interventions and repairs to be made at home, but also telecommunications services to keep company.
The services will be developed over the three year duration of the project, which started in 2013. The people who participate in the territorial lab will be the first users of these services, and will help researchers and developers to improve their quality.
